Daniel "Dan" Carter is Alex's brother (and older, by five minutes). He is also a student at the university, and shares his dorm room with Alex.

Biography

At age 8, Daniel began to write down Alex's memories of his adventures in Dreamland, creating the Dreamland Chronicles, and Daniel could not recall ever having visited Dreamland at that age. However, when Alex's group was at the centaur village, Orion forwarded a handwritten letter to Daniel (via Alex) that made the latter very emotional.
